MASH 19-21 Great Portland Street, London W1W 8QB // 020 7637 5555 Nearest tube - Oxford Circus Has a late license and free entry, other than that the bar staff are rude wankers and most of the clientele are fuckwits. In it's favour they do sometimes play some great music. MATCH BAR 37-38 Margaret Street, London W1G 0JF // 020 7499 3443 Nearest tube - Oxford Circus Quite a chilled bar, probably one for the first date. MEZZO 100 Wardour Street, London W1F 0TN // 000 Nearest tube - Tottenham Court Road Perhaps the latest license in Soho (4am). No door charge, no anal dress code and even though it's a Conran bar the price of drinks seems quite reasonable. THE FAMOUS THREE KINGS PUB 171 North End Road, London W14 9NL // 020 7603 6071 Nearest tube - West Kensington Brilliant for any kind of telivised sport you could ever imagine, and then some more. Cheap drinks with good cheap, wholesome pub grub. THE TOWNHOUSE 31 Beauchamp Place, London SW3 1NU // 020 7589 5080 Nearest tube - Knightsbridge I nearly shit myself when I was charged £9 for a Mojito. Very small and far too expensive, but if you're going to drink in Knightsbridge what do you expect!? ZAKUDIA River Level, 2a Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1 9HA // 020 7021 0085 Nearest tube - Mansion House Amazing views, amazing atmosphere and without a doubt the best cocktails I've come across in London - you have to go to this place, oh and you have to try the Russian Roulette. ZINC BAR 1 Farm Lane, Fulham, London SW6 1BE // 020 7386 2250 Nearest tube - Fulham Broadway Another Conran bar with reasonable priced drinks. I would suggest going here for pre-club drinks if you want to avoid the shit bars and pubs occupied by every man and his dog. CHECKERS NIGHTCLUB 31 The Martlets, Burgess Hill // 01444 235606 Nearest station - Burgess Hill BR Checkers, Hand-jobs, whatever this place is called these days avoid it at your peril. I can understand paying £10 getting in to The End or maybe the Concorde 2 but not this shit hole. They even have a bloody dresscode! The only reason you'll end up here is when you're off your tits and looking for some more booze - nowhere else has a late license in this town, so this is going to have to be your last resort. Like many of the places on the coast it's over-riden by chavs these days. Also good 'cos there are slack doormen, so sneaking in your own mixers is nice and easy and will save you a packet. THE SHARK BAR 57 West Street, Brighton BN1 2RA // 01273 822555 Nearest station - Brighton BR Quite a cool pre-club bar with nice cocktail bar downstairs.
