CABARET - 1 1/2 measures Gin - 2 dashes bitters - 1/2 tsp Dry Vermouth - 1/4 tsp Benedictine Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. Serve with a cherry.
CAIPIRINHA (BRAZILIAN) Sent in by Katja (2002) - 1/2 Lime cut in 6 pieces - 1 measure of Cashasa or Pitu (Brazilian sugarcane schnapps) - 2 tsp brown cane sugar - crushed ice Put the limepieces into a cocktail glass add the cane sugar mash together nicely with a 'mortal' (is that how you spell it?!) fill the glass up with crusched ice top with the messure of pitu mix quickly with a long spoon so the limejuice and sugar come up fill up with crushed ice again and: ready! dream of brazilian sunshine and dance lambada!
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - 2 dashes Kirsch - 3 measures Pineapple Juice - 1 dash Lemon Juice - Champagne to top up Put the ingredients in an electric blender with a few ice cubes and blend for 30 seconds. Pour into a wine glass and top up with Champagne. Decorate with pineapple.
CARUSO - 1 1/2 measures Gin - 1 measure Dry Vermouth - 1/2 measure Creme de Menthe (green) Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
CASINO COCKTAIL - 2 dashes Orange bitters - 1/4 tsp Maraschino - 1/4 tsp Lemon Juice - 2 measures Gin Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. Serve with a cherry.
CEMENT MIXER Sent in by Lauren Taylor, USA (2004) - 2/3 shot Baileys - 1/3 shot lime juice Have the drinker bottoms up and swish around. What happens is that when the Bailey's and Lime Cordial mix in their mouth they congeal into a nice thick cement-like substance, hence the name. It's a perfect shot for the inexperienced drinker.
CHARLIE SYLVESTER Sent in by Charlie Sylvester (2002) - 1 pint of Lager/Beer - 1 shot of Baileys What you need to do is get a pint of lager or beer (by now your thinking cocktail?) well take a sip then hit back a shot of Baileys then down the pint. It's a mix which is nice, but the surprise is the best.
CHELSEA SIDECAR - Juice of 1/4 Lemon - 3/4 measure Triple Sec - 3/4 measure Gin Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
CIDER LOLLY - 1 measure Absolut Vodka - 1/3 measure Peach Schnapps - 1/3 measure Malibu - 1/3 measure Pimms - 1/4 pint Pineapple Juice - 1 dash Lemonade - Fresh mint Mix ingredients together in a tumbler and add ice. Serve garnished with mint.
CITRUS MARTINI - 200ml Absolut Blue Vodka, chilled - 50ml Absolut Mandarin Vodka, chilled - 50ml Grand Marnier Liquer - Juice of two lemons This is a variation of the traditional vodka martini. We suggest you keep all the ingredients in the fridge to ensure you get the right degree of coldness. 1) Stir all the ingredients several times over ice cubes in a mixing jug. 2) Strain equally into four martini glasses and garnish with leomon or lime wedges.
CLARIDGE COCKTAIL - 3/4 measure Gin - 3/4 measure Dry Vermouth - 1 tbsp Apricot flavoured Brandy - 1 tbsp Triple Sec Stir with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
CLUB COCKTAIL - 1 1/2 measures Gin - 3/4 measure Sweet Vermouth Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. Add a cherry or olive.
COCKSUCKING COWBOY Sent in by Aleisha Davidson (2002) - 15ml Butterscotch Schnapps - 5-10ml Baileys Pour shnapps in shot glass, then pour baileys over spoon on top of the shnapps and shoot it down.
COLONIAL COCKTAIL - 1/2 measure Grapefruit Juice - 1 tsp Maraschino - 1 1/2 measures Gin Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. Serve with an olive.
COOPERSTOWN COCKTAIL - 1/2 measure Dry Vermouth - 1/2 measure Sweet Vermouth - 1 measure Gin Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. Add a sprig of mint.
CORCOVADO - 1 measure Blue Curacao - 1 measure Tequila - 1 measure Drambuie - Lemonade to top up Shake the ingredients well with ice and strain into a tall tumbler filled with crushed ice. Top up with lemonade and decorate with a slice of lemon or lime. Serve with a straw.
CORPSE REVIVER - 1/2 measure Sweet Vermouth - 1/2 measure Calvados - 1 measure Brandy Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
COSMIC CRUSH Sent in by Colin Parker (2002) - Dash of Blackcurrant Cordial - 2 measures Midori (Melon liquer) - 2 measures Apple Schnapps (Apple sidekick) - Dash of Lemonade Served in a highball glass, half filled with crushed ice and lemonade to the top. Top off with 2 sparklers and voila! Magnifico!!
COUNT CURREY - 1 1/2 measures Gin - 1 tsp powdered sugar - Chilled Champagne Shake gin and sugar with ice and strain into champagne flute over ice cubes. Fill with champagne.
CREAM FUZZ - Juice of 1/2 Lemon - 1 tsp powdered sugar - 2 measures Gin - 1 tsp Light Cream - Club Soda Shake with ice and strain into highball glass over ice cubes. Fill with club soda and stir.
CRIMSON COCKTAIL - 1 1/2 measures Gin - 2 tsp Lemon Juice - 1 tsp Grenadine - 3/4 measure Port Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass, leaving enough room on top to float port.
CRYSTAL SLIPPER COCKTAIL - 1/2 measure Blue Curacao - 2 dashes Orange bitters - 1 1/2 measures Gin Stir with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
CUBA LIBRE - 2 measures Dark Rum - Juice of 1/2 Lime - Coca Cola to top up Half-fill a tall tumbler with ice cubes. Add the rum and lime juice and stir well. Top up with coca-cola and decorate with lime slices.
