Gighit (2008)

Gighit replaces the now defunkt Gigping.

The concept for Gighit is a very old one, having started on the project in 2000. Since then it has taken a number of different forms with relative success. Now I'm in a position to be able to properly get the site build with a nice shinet CMS to keep it going.

The site itself is a bit of a mamouth project, once it's finished (Phase 2 in October 2008) it should be in a pretty solid state, allowing bands and promoters to promote themselves and their events. Where it can go from there is pretty much endless.

It pains me to think that Gighit should be the market leader here having been around for so long. Now there are a number of new websites with much better backing that are going to blitz it, hopefully I'll be able to put a spanner in the works with this project.
